- Facial Recognition in Clubs – Technology, Compliance & What’s Next -
Facial recognition technology is becoming increasingly relevant across the club industry, particularly as venues look at ways to strengthen responsible gambling practices, identify self-excluded and banned patrons, and improve venue security.
This session will provide Club Managers with a practical overview of how facial recognition technology works, how it is currently being used within the industry, and where the technology is heading.
We will also discuss the key considerations clubs need to understand before implementing facial recognition, including privacy, data security, signage and consent requirements, management of biometric information, system accuracy, false positives, staff procedures and the importance of having appropriate governance around the technology.
The presentation will also look at the changing regulatory environment and what clubs should be considering now to ensure any facial recognition solution is implemented responsibly and with the appropriate safeguards.
The objective is for managers to leave the session with a clearer understanding of both the opportunities and responsibilities associated with facial recognition technology.
- 12 noon: Luncheon
- 2.30pm Close
